great quality sumacJul 09, 2010
By smart shopper I am not here to talk about sumac itself.. if you know it, you know it; if you don't you should order and find out. This sumac brand is amazing. It is very high quality in my opinion; the flavor is there, arrived very fresh, the total amount stays fresh because of the individual small jars that you open as you need.
It is amazing to be able to find this on amazon... and sold by amazon!. It is hard-to-find-spice just a click away.

It's not spicy, it's rather has slight sour taste and is good with potato, meats, corn, etc.
The package contains 12 individual 2.4 Ounce Jars

Good Deal, Pretty Good SumacNov 18, 2011
By Peter N. Deweese I fell in love with sumac after using it at a Persian restaurant. I had to ask what it was, and then I found that some of the international groceries in my area didn't carry it, so Amazon is the way to go. I tried Zamouri sumac first, which was amazing. I am trying to reduce my sodium intake, and its a good replacement for salt on popcorn as well as for its traditional uses on rice, etc. After finishing 4oz, I thought I'd look for a good deal in shakers and saw this. Sumac is sumac, right? This sumac is ok, but neither as tart nor as flavorful as Zamouri's, at least not the batch I got. I'll enjoy it, but do plan on getting my favorite next time.

I use sumac in our weekly kabob koubideh (persian dish) I make!! AS you mix the ground meat/onion/salt/pepper/baking soda add a good amount of sumac and it comes out excellent! Even my mom was amazed how good it is. Sumac is sumac, but this is a good deal on a large amount! Should be supplied for the year with all of this :) Put some on your rice as well! Very good
