Perfect soap for tons of uses...with a wonderful scent!Jun 13, 2011

I bought this soap to use primarily as a hand soap for my childcare. I am a natural and organic childcare, so I choose to use soaps that are natural, too. I was thrilled to find these on Amazon as Castile Soap in stores is typically $7+ for one bottle. It has been wonderful and it is my favorite scent of all time, next to cucumber-melon. It's light and not overpowering, but it's strong enough to make their hands clean and make the bathroom smell like almonds and vanilla. I was happy to discover that it's perfect for refilling the foam soap dispensers; I mix only 1/4 - 1/2 Castile Soap and the rest water to get the perfect combination. For antibacterial help, I add a few drops of lemon or tea tree essential oil (bought on Amazon, of course). I bought the Ginger scent in this line after the Vanilla price increased and that scent is nice, too, though this is my favorite.

good valueJun 02, 2011
By fireelf good value for the price I paid ($24.98...I see the price has gone up today!). the scent is pleasant, though I don't think i'd pay $37 (the current price) for it.

Nice smellOct 04, 2009
By White Bird got this product on a "green" sale with Amazon. I like to use the liquid castile soaps to bathe my dogs. Seems to work very well. Not harsh on the skin, either.
A Great Product for Cleaning Your House, Your Pets... And Youself!Mar 25, 2011

I have chemical sensitivities and I love Dr Bronner's soaps, but they are a bit pricy. We use this to clean our home, pets and myself. It does a great job and it smells great! It smells like vanilla, with a very tiny hint of pine. I was a little concerned after it arrived to see it has a derivative of pine, which I normally have a problem with, however it hasn't set me off.
I decided to give this a go when I saw reviews of Shadow Lake Pure Castile Soap comparing it to Dr Bronner's, with little difference noted. I don't care how cheap a product is, if it doesn't work, then I won't be getting it again. I will definitely be buying this again!
Even though there are some oils in it, it works great on our tile and wood laminate floors. No residue that I can tell, even though we have been using this for about 6 weeks now. It doesn't feel as if it leaves a residue on me either, but on the other hand, it's not drying to my very dry skin.
Ingredients: Water, Potassium Cocoate (derived from coconut), Potassium tallate (derived from pine), Glycerin, Vanilla oil*, Almond Oil*, Olive Oil*, Aloe Vera*. (*Certified Organic)

I love the Dr. Bronner almond soap but this was about half the price, had free shipping and was indistinguishable from Dr. Bronner, including an almost identical scent.
