Tasty time.Sep 28, 2010
By NeeNee i've been stuck in the hospital a lot this year and it's meant a lot of the clear liquid diet. This broth is what's getting me through. It's tasty all on its own. When i'm at home and I have to drink clear liquids, the other veggie broths don't have such a rich flavor and suddenly I feel deprived and miserable. So, I decided to get crazy and just spend the $50 on a truly delicious broth so I no longer have to suffer through cup after cup of blandness when i'm ill. I also plan to try it as a base for my potato leek soup and I bet it's hands down the best batch I've ever made. And it comes, already perfectly seasoned, in packet. So awesome.
p.s. It is on the salty side but I am generally not a salt lover and this is a good saltiness. I almost never salt anything. So if you hear it's salty...take it with a grain of salt. Yeah, I said it. (I'm in the hospital ordering tons of broth packets and writing lengthy reviews of my love for it, I needed that joke. Aah how I laughed.)
p.p.s. I think it's a little better if you add about 1.3 of the recommended amout per cup of water.

I was given this broth while in the hospital. I found it delicious and easy to mix because it is a liquid, not a powder, and a little goes a long way. It's much better than the flavor cubes you get in the store. I also liked the other flavors, beef and chicken.
