Once harvested, it is chopped, rolled and dried in the sun and then toasted into crisp sheets. Sushi Chef Nori is especially delicate and flavorful. Its thickness makes it less likely to break when rolled. The flavor, aroma and crispness of Nori is enhanced by quickly passing the shiny side of the sheet over a flame just before use. Nori sheets are wrapped around sushi rice and fillings to form rolled sushi. When cut into strips, Nori is used to secure finger rolls or to add flavor and color to scattered sushi. Crumbled Nori is an attractive garnish for salads or rice. Product of China. | | | Features: | |

You've gotta be kidding meJun 14, 2009
By Storywoman 50 sheets of Nori at your local Asian grocer will run you maybe $10, often less. This price is ridiculous.

Nori isn't an American foodFeb 09, 2009
By Robert Adams Though a different reviewer complained about taste, I'd be careful of heeding such complaints, given that traditionally nori in Japan is also enjoyed without additives of sugar and salt, "the tasty" additives the reviewer may be referring to. Thus you understand why Americans are not renowned for being healthy. I do very much enjoy this product. It is what it is meant to be: plain roasted nori.
It has a heavy, bitter flavorFeb 17, 2012
By Mark Kantor I bought this sushi sheet to have friends over to make sushi. It works well enough for the purpose of keeping your sushi rolled up, but in terms of the flavor of the sushi sheet itself, it is not very good. It has sort of a heavy, bitter flavor. I prefer a lighter nutty flavored sushi sheet.

I got some of these in the Sushi Chef kit, which I like. They were of poor quality, brittle and fell apart upon opening the package. Will follow the advice of the other reviewer who said buy local.
