I have lived in Arizona in the low desert and because of the very dry conditions here I have been diagnosed with severe chronic dry eyes. They are painful from a lack of natural tears and that has
to be supplemented daily. One thing my Opthmalogist was insistent about is that before going to bed at night I use a nighttime ointment for added protection. I found the Tears again ointment I purchased from Amazon to be equivalent to any that I have purchased from major drug stores, but at a far lower cost. After a stroke, I was left with no eye lubrication in one eye. I have to use artificial tears plus this type of ointment several times a day, and double at night. For some reason, manufacturers are deciding that producing ointments is not lucrative enough, as they are harder to find online lately. (And real stores do not carry enough for me.) Finally, Amazon sells these 6 at a time, and they work! Cheaply too. (Don't let price fool you: More expensive ones are made of the exact same ingredients, and are the same size.)

Good product. A bit thinner than other ointments I've used, but it does the trick in preventing dry eye problems at night. And the price is much less. I would recommend this product to others with nighttime dry eye problems.

I LOVE being able to purchase products like this from the comfort of my home and having them just show up in my mail box. I have TWO Chinese Crested dogs with KSC, also known as dry eye and this ointment is exactly the same as that prescribed by my veterinarian at a much more affordable price.

First, let me say that I needed this for my dog. She has eye issues and needs to have oitment put into her eyes twice a day forever. Getting this ointment at the store is OUTRAGEOUS!!!!! I got this because of the price. It is NOT as thick as the kind in the store (hence the 4 stars instead of 5), but it does what I need it to.
