Great smoky flavorNov 02, 2008

After having diffuculty finding this locally tried a couple other brands of chipolte. I wasted my money. The amazon price for 3 is what I would have paid for 2 at the specialty shop that doesn't even carry this anymore. Great smoky flavor and of course that bite. I use it not only in mexican food but in Itaian meals with great success. Actually I use it on anything that I need a little smoke and a little burn!

The product is fresh and I haven't been able to beat this price anywhere. It is crushed so if you are looking for grounded pepper you have to do it yourself. I will purchase again.

So glad I read various reviews of other products sold here at Amazon before choosing the Spice Hunter brand. I wanted a chipotle chile that did not contain a mixture of other spices and salt, and that is what this product offers. Perfect smokey heat! And yes, use your spice or coffee grinder if you want a more powdery substance as opposed to the crushed seeds that this contains. The aroma, the flavor, the heat - Oh, my! This stuff is great!

I looked everywhere for powdered Chipotle Chile Powder but couldn't find it, even in the specialty food stores in this area. I purchased this product knowing it wasn't a powder, in hopes that I could run it through my spice grinder and get the powder I need for my recipes. It grinds beautifull, and just takes a few seconds. The quality of this product is excellent - just be sure you have a way to grind it for recipes. Great value too since you get 3 jars.

This chipotle pepper is wonderfully fresh and intense. It gives a great smoky heat to whatever you put it in. It is not ground into a powder but is made of individual pepper seeds.
