Tilex works well...too well??Jan 13, 2009

Everytime I use Tilex, I am amazed at how well it works.
You just spray on the mildew area, comes back in a few hours, all the mildew disappears, even without scrubing, or even rinse off... Where did the ugly, black, brown mildew went?????
So well, I am beginning to wonder how it works...
But I think the mildew or mold is beginning to develop a resistance to it, as now the time it takes to have to spray Tilex between application has decreased... It also seem to leave a white powerdery residue, or is that just soap scum?
One thing that one must be careful when applying Tilex is to keep the windows open, well ventilated, because the fume is very strong.

Diluted bleachMar 03, 2010
By Y. Ma I have a very bad mold problem in my bathroom, the sealant used is like silicon gal, and went black several years ago by growing mold inside the sealant. I have to clean it out before I move, so I saw this tilex and read from here some positive reviews, and went to target and bought a bottle for $2.50 plus tax. It worked fine, significantly lightened the black stain. I smelt the same smell as the bleach. I read the ingredient, and it's 2.7% sodium hypochloride, then I checked the bleach I have, it's 6% sodium hypochloride. So, Tilex is a diluted bleach. Be careful when handling these bleach, I inhaled too much for a short time, and I found I lost my smell sense for quite a long time.

WOW! This works! But.... is very strongFeb 18, 2010
By Y. Tzeng This stuff really works! I had black mold (the toxic kind) and I needed to get rid of it. I bought a dehumidifier to remove moisture from the bathroom, but what to do with the black mold that is already there??
Tilex to the rescue! This stuff got rid of it after a few applications. Everything looks WHITE again!
WARNING: KEEP ALL WINDOWS OPEN! This is strong stuff! My eyes started watering and the smell is really really strong.
