"love tofurky jurky"
I have been buying this product for a while in the health food store at a higher price until I found it on your site. If you close your eyes and if you were a past meat jerky eater you wouldn't know the difference. I eat a package a day for my protein and love, love, love it. I've also tried the peppered one and enjoyed that. The only one I didn't care for is the Ginger Teriyaki too gingery for me, but the original is the BOMB. Now I know where I can get my fix. I've tried other brands form the health food store which they consider vegetarain jerky and it's not worth chewing. So if anyone is wondering about this product I say go for it you won't be disappointed.

Fabulous & yummy - for quick meals and travelJul 02, 2007

I love this stuff - you can't always find it in the shops and it's expensive, so this is a great price. What's more amazing - my 6 and 10-y-old kids, who are the absolute pickiest eaters, have decided they love it, too. It's ideal for travel and camping, but I keep a few packs in the car for when they are really hungry and grumpy and I need a lot of nutrition in a little bit of time.
I also love the pepper, but the kids won't eat anything spicy. I took a packet of this camping and shared it with friends - kids and adults - and all six people wanted more (but we ran out) - so it appeals to a variety of tastes.
This is chewy and textured and dry like regular jerky (tho not quite as hard). The seasoning is strong but not at all overwhelming - a hint of smokiness, saltiness, tasty. Some tofu jerky's are moist or even wet, but this is not. Each packet has 8-10 little round pieces, about the size of a thick half-dollar.
I'm online reordering, b/c my kids begged me to. Normally, their favorite food is mac and cheese. I'm thrilled they want this. So do I. It's a treat.

I grew up eating Beef Jerky (Slim Jim Brand) in my school cafeteria and after I became a vegetarian I thought that my beef jerky days were over. I was SO thrilled to discover the pepper tofurky jurky at Whole Foods! But since I eat almost a package a day for my protein, Whole Foods always ran out. So glad to find it here, cheaper than in most stores. I am sure that people would not be able to tell the difference between this and beef jerky. It is yummy, lots of protein and not that many calories. I high recommend it!

I'm addicted to this stuff, and love that Amazon will ship me a pack of 12 of the spicy or original for the lowest price out there. It's hard to find in stores, expensive to buy online and pay shipping, but with Amazon Prime, I get it cheap and with free shipping. Stays good in a hot car and the bottom of my briefcase, and gives me a quick high-protein low-grease pick-me-up between meetings or on the road. This is far less greasy than Stonewall Jerky--the spicy is especially good and fun to chew--real smokehouse flavor!

This is a great vegan/vegetarian snack! High protein to calorie ratio, low fat, tasty, satisfyingly chewy, easy to pack, light weight, travels well. I buy a case a month! Eat this when the urge to snack comes and the protein burst will help curb hunger for less nutritious foods. Terrific for vegans/vegetarians on the go who may have trouble finding good animal-free protein away from home.
