Good for a quick bite.Sep 02, 2011

This chicken spread is not as salty as the Underwood Deviled Ham Spread. However, it's still saltier than it needs to be and if you're on any sodium restrictions, this is not the product for you. Otherwise, it tastes good and it's inexpensive. Great to have in your pantry for when you don't feel like going out and want a quick bite.

So handy to have around to spread on crackers before bedtime with milk or for a sammy with soup for a light meal when you just don't feel like cooking. Good to tuck in those hunters' and fishermen's gear too, and to tide you over on road trips to hold out for a nice big meal later on. No refrigeration needed and the price is right!

While it's still good for a quick snack by just spreading it on hot toast, it has become a little saltier than before. It's useful as a base for quick chicken salad, but if you're on a low sodium diet, you better look elsewhere.
