Tough as leatherFeb 19, 2012
By Hexler This stuff is as tough as leather. I love jerky and of course I've tried jerky that is tough before but this stuff I literally could barely get my teeth through it. I thought I was going to have to microwave it in some water to soften it.
I checked and made sure it was in date and that the packaging wasn't broken anywhere to let air in. Bag was in perfect condition and was well within expiration date.
The taste was just average. I would never buy this again. It wasn't just this flavor. I also had a bag of the same brand but a different flavor and it was exactly the same.
Worst jerky I have ever had, by far. I bought it because it is a little cheaper than Jack Link's jerky but I would much rather pay a little more and get jerky that is actually edible.

Top of My ListOct 29, 2011

Jerky preference couldn't be more personal. I've sampled from the ten best list, and have been disappointed. One man's dream jerky is another's gag reflex.
Anyway, this is good tasting and satisfying stuff. I find it a little inconsistent from bag to bag, but so is life. The mixture of spices works for me, a slightly hot and you know you've eaten something. Enjoy.

Cheep jerky cheeply priced.Nov 07, 2009
By Ragidandy You get what you pay for. This jerky was crumbly and overly seasoned with MSG. Papaya extract is used to soften the meat, but is over used in this jerky. The result is a crumby texture that does not hold together when chewed. It was not disgusting, but I would not buy it again. Try their one pound bags instead.

Good flavorApr 06, 2012
By Angela Hutchinson This product has a good flavor... good price. I only gave it a 4 because I was shocked at the amount of sugar in it. In my opinion, beef jerky should be a healthy snack. But, if you aren't a carb-aphobe like I am.. and not diabetic, then it is a good product.
