Buy for Tooth Benefit, Not TasteOct 27, 2007
By Jo-Ann Hague As sugar-free gums go, this gum is awful. The taste dissipates in no time, and the gum itself is far from elastic.
Yet I still buy it. Why? Because it uses only XYLITOL as its sweetener, a substance that actually reverses tooth decay (minor reversal, mind you, but, well... I'll take anything). It's actually GOOD for teeth.
Other gums on the market that taste better have XYLITOL as an ingredient, but they also include other sugar-free sweeteners.
Here's what Wikiipedia says about XYLITOL: "Xylitol is a 'toothfriendly' sugar. In addition to not encouraging tooth decay (by replacing dietary sugars), xylitol may actively aid in repairing minor cavities caused by dental caries. Recent research[7] confirms a plaque-reducing effect and suggests that the compound, having some chemical properties similar to sucrose, attracts and then "starves" harmful micro-organisms, allowing the mouth to remineralize damaged teeth with less interruption."
On top of all this, XYLITOL might actually improve bone density.
Taste? Not so good. Benefit? Priceless.

I don't know what the other reviewers have problems with for this gum. Our whole family has been chewing this gum for the last few months and we think it's great in every way! what's even better is that there is no sugar and no artificial dyes! Try finding something like that at your local retail shop!
Our only regret is that amazon is no longer carrying it, so now we'll have to pay more for it from other online retailers :(

The worst gum you will ever tasteApr 05, 2008
By Colorado Jon Do not buy this product! The "cinnamon" flavor lasts two seconds, and then you are chewing an unpleasant, flavorless blob with the consistency of tar. It may be good for your teeth, but it is a disaster in all other respects.
